Another Family of Triplets Receives Donations from PM Hun Sen

PHNOM PENH: The personal assistant of the Prime Minister, Seng Teang, brought and distributed gifts from the Prime Minister and First Lady to a family that just had triplets at Calmette Hospital in Phnom Penh. These gifts were delivered on Saturday, 25 June.

The charitable donations included five million riel, 50 kilograms of rice, two large boxes of milk, five kilograms of sugar, two sarongs and two scarves.

The triplets were born on 21 June 2022 at Calmette Hospital, to 29-year-old mother, Vanna Channy, and father, Minthari. Both parents are factory workers from Prey Veng province.

Seng Teang said that since 1999, over the past 23 years, 388 families in Cambodia have given birth to triplets or quadruplets and have received generous donations from the Prime Minister and First Lady, to support the hardships of their daily life, especially those which come from having to raise several babies at once.

The Prime Minister’s assistant added that all these donations are not gifts from the Royal Government, the Cambodian Red Cross or donations from parties that are politically motivated. Instead, these donations are sincere gifts from the Prime Minister and First Lady's hearts, who understand the difficulties faced by those who have given birth to triplets or quadruplets.
